Care Guide for Your Modular Sofas

Fabric Overview

We offer three luxurious fabric options for our modular sofas: Splash Cotton, Aqua Velvet, and Bobbly Boucle. Each of these fabrics is designed with a stain guard property to help keep your sofa looking fresh and beautiful. Please note that due to the natural fibers in our fabrics, slight color variations may occur between batches, adding to the unique charm of your sofa.

All of our upholstered products conform to the strict UK standards for domestic fire retardancy. Occasionally, your new sofa may have a slight chemical smell due to the flame-retardant treatment. This is completely normal and will dissipate within a few days to a maximum of two weeks.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Sunlight & Heat:
All of our fabrics, including Splash Cotton, Aqua Velvet, and Bobbly Boucle, prefer to be kept out of direct sunlight or heat to prevent fading and damage.

Removable Covers:
For modular sofas with removable covers, do not machine wash them. These fabrics require special care and should be cleaned in situ by a professional dry cleaner.

Vacuuming:
Dust can make fabrics appear tired over time. To maintain the vibrant look of your sofa, regularly vacuum it using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner (the one with the small velvety strip). Be cautious with hard plastic nozzles, as they can leave marks on delicate fabrics like Aqua Velvet.

Flat Velvet:
If your Aqua Velvet fabric becomes crushed, you can restore its texture using a velvet brush or a velvet swatch to gently lift the pile.

Stains & Dirt:
For stubborn stains that won’t budge, we recommend contacting a certified upholstery cleaning service. They will know how to treat the fabric without risking shrinkage or damage.

General Tips for Cushion Care

Plumping Cushions:
To keep your feather, foam, and eco-fibre cushions plump and shapely, give them a good plump every now and then. Simply pick up the cushion by its corners and give it a firm shake. Then, give the center a solid pat to restore its shape.

Leather Care (If Applicable):
If your modular sofa includes any leather elements, avoid placing it in direct sunlight or near heat sources. Blot spills with a dry, absorbent cloth—never rub—and avoid using saddle soap or other specialty cleaners.
